Among the greatest interpreters of Bach’s music, Ton Koopman presents an evening dedicated to Baroque music for organ and harpsichord. Protagonist with him, the baritone Klaus Mertens, recently awarded at the Bachfest Leipzig with the “Bach Medal”, a prize reserved for those promoting in a praiseworthy way the works of Bach in the world.
The musical program takes the listener on a journey from the Baroque musical style to Classicism.
Ton Koopman is an organist, harpsichordist and conductor. He has received a “Prix d’Excellence” for both organ and harpsichord. He has conducted Berliner Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, Royal Concertgebouw, Vienna Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic and many other of the most famous orchestras in the world.
